Glide Black provides software and booking experiences that connect passengers with independent transportation operators (“fleets”). Depending on the page you use, data may be processed by Glide Black, your selected fleet, and service providers such as payment and messaging vendors.

  • Booking and trip details — for example names, email addresses, phone numbers, pickup and drop-off locations, itinerary, vehicle preferences, and pricing snapshots needed to complete a reservation.
  • Account and authentication data — when you create or access an account, we process identifiers needed to secure your session.
  • SMS preferences — when you book through a Glide Black-powered flow, you may be asked to opt in to automated SMS about your booking and driver status. Your choice is stored with the booking record.
  • Technical data — such as device and browser type, IP address, and cookies or similar technologies used to operate and secure the service.

3. SMS and mobile messaging

If you opt in to SMS, Glide Black or your fleet may send transactional messages about your trip (for example, assignment or status updates). Message frequency varies with your trips. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply HELP for help or STOP to cancel SMS from that program where supported by your carrier and our messaging configuration. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

SMS may be delivered using Twilio or similar telecommunications providers. Those providers process phone numbers and message content as data processors in order to deliver messages.

4. How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • Provide, schedule, and support transportation bookings;
  • Process payments and prevent fraud;
  • Send transactional communications you have opted into;
  • Comply with law and enforce our agreements.

5. Sharing

We share information with fleets you transact with, with payment processors, with messaging providers (for SMS you consent to), and with other vendors who assist in hosting, analytics, or security. We do not sell your personal information for money. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights and safety.

We retain information as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal and accounting obligations, and resolve disputes. Retention periods can vary by data category and by fleet configuration.

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission over the Internet is completely secure.

The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
